Optional: Chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, hazelnuts) or grated coconut for topping
TIP: Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator if not serving immediately.
Wash the dates and pat them dry with kitchen paper. Break or cut the fondant chocolate into pieces. Set aside.
Melt the fondant chocolate in a double boiler until it becomes liquid.
Gently dip each date into the melted chocolate until evenly coated. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place the baking sheet with the chocolate-covered dates in the refrigerator to allow the chocolate to fully harden.
Melt a bit of extra fondant chocolate in a double boiler.
Remove the baking sheet from the refrigerator. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the hardened layer of chocolate on the dates to create beautiful chocolate swirls.
If you want to add nuts or coconut as a topping, sprinkle them over the wet chocolate swirl.
Place the baking sheet back in the refrigerator to allow the additional chocolate and toppings to set.
Once the chocolate has fully hardened, remove the dates from the refrigerator and arrange them on a serving platter. Enjoy this delicious treat during the holidays!
