Animal sans Toi…t was born from the determination of one person. First on her own, and later backed by a team of volunteers, Véronique set out to build something wonderful: a shelter for stray, abandoned and seized animals. Her dream came true in 2002, when the association opened its first shelter in Horion-Hozémont, not far from Liège Airport.

She had a dream, and it came true…
In 2012, a second shelter opened in Viemme, designed specifically for the care of horses, cattle and other farm animals. This new facility allows us to give our animals high-quality care.
In 2018, the non-profit opened a brand-new building for dogs, cats and small pets in Viemme. This let us bring all our activities together on one site and cut down on a lot of travel.
Every euro our association raises goes entirely to the welfare of the animals in our care or to active animal protection campaigns in Belgium.

A home for every animal
Animal sans Toi…t is devoted heart and soul to animal welfare. The association takes in abandoned, found and seized animals and gives them a safe place where they receive the care and attention they need. Wherever possible, it looks for a new, loving home. Thanks to the daily commitment of the board, volunteers and supporters, many dogs, cats, horses, farm animals and other animals get a second chance. The association also supports initiatives that improve animal welfare and shares its knowledge and experience with other organisations. Everything it does comes from one shared passion: a better life for every animal.

With a whole lot of heart
What began in 2002 as one animal lover's dream has grown, through years of dedication, into a place where countless animals get a second chance.
Because in the end, Animal sans Toi…t comes down to one belief: every animal deserves a place where it's welcome.
As the association so beautifully puts it:
